LOTUS ART WINDOW DISPLAY
LOTUS ART WINDOW DISPLAY
OPEN FORMAT designed and produced the first brand window display series for the Lotus China Experience Center. Titled "Aerodynamic Luxury," the series centers visually on a collection of helmets sculpted by wind and aerodynamic force. The window complements the newly upgraded store facade, further strengthening the connection between Lotus, the driver, and speed.
The launch of this display aims to elevate Lotus's perception as a luxury brand and provide a seasonally refreshed experience for the store.
Using pioneering AI technology, the airflow perceived by drivers during races is "visualized," resulting in the creation of a unique "Wind Rider" helmet. This avant-garde artistic expression pays tribute to founder Colin Chapman's relentless pursuit of "aerodynamics."
The in-store presentation continues Lotus's racing DNA, bringing founder Colin Chapman's aviation dreams and innovative spirit into the all-electric era.
The window artwork also employs "Solar Yellow" to commemorate Lotus's championship era on the track. During the 1950s and 1960s, when Lotus cars frequently claimed victory, this yellow became a significant symbol in British racing culture, representing superior craftsmanship and performance. Today, Lotus yellow remains an iconic brand color, deeply rooted in the history of world motorsport.
The window display at the Lotus Center on Shanghai's Zhongchun Road features floor-to-ceiling glass and a large art installation as its core, interpreting Lotus's racing philosophy and pioneering spirit. The expansive glass window, integrated with the urban streetscape, turns the display itself into an eye-catching billboard.
Overall, the art window is more than spatial decor. It is an entry point into the brand narrative. Through artistic expression, it builds a deep emotional connection with consumers, attracts specific target audiences, and amplifies exposure through social media discussion and sharing, thereby enhancing brand influence and loyalty.
